Thanks to their ease of use and safety, even people with reduced mobility will be able to move around in a multi-story building. Overcoming architectural barriers allows for the benefit of a reduced VAT rate of 4%, resulting in savings on the purchase. The stairlifts are also characterized by their load capacity and ability to overcome steps of different heights, as well as the possibility of going up and down a flight of stairs. More advanced models feature a joystick that allows for movement on a level surface. There are also tracked models capable of securing a disabled person's wheelchair.
